Fundació Jubert Figueras is a non-profit organization established in December 2003 with the mission of improving the living conditions of low-income families who are forced to leave their usual place of residence due to the hospitalization of one of their members.
Regardless of age or medical condition, the foundation supports families who must temporarily relocate in order to accompany a relative undergoing treatment in one of Barcelona’s hospitals. By providing accommodation and support, Fundació Jubert Figueras addresses a critical and often overlooked dimension of healthcare: the emotional, social and economic impact of long-term hospitalization on families already in vulnerable situations.
Between 2003 and 2017, I was responsible for the foundation’s entire visual communication system. Following the creation of the visual identity, developed in collaboration with Borja Martínez from Lo Siento Studio, I worked closely with the foundation over more than a decade to ensure consistent, clear and empathetic communication across all channels.
This long-term collaboration included the design and production of annual reports, fundraising campaigns, print and digital communication materials, websites, and recurring institutional elements such as holiday communications and donor outreach. Each piece was conceived to balance clarity, dignity and warmth, reinforcing trust while making the foundation’s mission visible and accessible to donors, partners and the wider public.
The resulting body of work reflects a sustained commitment to design as a tool for social impact, demonstrating how coherent visual systems and long-term collaboration can support an organization’s mission, credibility and continuity over time.
