Pacific Millworks

Maui Wood Workshop

Pacific Millworks is a Maui-based custom woodworking studio specializing in high-end, bespoke woodwork for residential and commercial projects. Founded in 2003, the company was built on a clear commitment to craftsmanship, precision and uncompromising quality, with each project tailored to the specific needs of its clients.

After more than 20 years in business and hundreds of completed projects across Maui, Pacific Millworks has evolved from a traditional custom wood shop into a fully integrated woodworking studio, collaborating with a network of highly skilled and experienced craftsmen. Alongside its well-established residential activity, the company expanded into commercial millwork fabrication, partnering with some of Hawaii’s leading construction firms and developers.

In 2018, following a change in ownership, Dan Ellis contacted me to lead a full rebranding of Pacific Millworks. The objective was to reposition the company in line with its growing scale, expanded capabilities and long-term vision, while preserving the values of craftsmanship and material integrity that defined its reputation.

My work focused on redefining the brand identity, including the logotype, visual language and overall positioning, establishing a clearer, more contemporary and more cohesive brand system. As part of this process, I also designed and developed a new website, ensuring that the digital presence reflected the same level of craftsmanship, clarity and precision as the physical work of the studio.

The website was conceived as an extension of the brand identity, presenting projects, capabilities and values through a structured, restrained and material-driven visual approach. It provides a clear framework for both residential and commercial audiences, reinforcing credibility while supporting future growth.

The resulting brand and digital system positions Pacific Millworks at the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern execution, equipping the company with a coherent, scalable and enduring identity across both physical and digital touchpoints.
