Camp Olowalu is a distinctive glamping site managed by West Maui Land, located on an ancient and traditional Hawaiian bathing site along the coast, just south of Lahaina. Deeply rooted in its natural and cultural context, Camp Olowalu is committed to preserving the site’s pure relationship with its environment, balancing hospitality with respect for the land.
The camp welcomes guests into a thoughtfully designed outdoor experience that includes tents, tentalows, A-frame cabins, as well as oceanfront parking sites, offering a unique way to experience Maui through simplicity, proximity to nature and a strong sense of place.
Within this context, I was brought in to consult on the development of the visual identity and to take over the project’s online presence, including full website design and development. The objective was to translate the spirit of Camp Olowalu—its calm, authenticity and connection to the land—into a digital experience that felt welcoming, intuitive and visually grounded.
The result is a user-friendly WordPress website that reflects the atmosphere and values of the site, combining clear structure with evocative imagery to convey the vibe and feeling of Camp Olowalu, while providing guests with a seamless and informative booking-oriented experience.
